About Us

Welcome to our site, we have tried keeping things simple.

Sux-S driving school has been operating since 2014.

All our instructors are Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructors, with minimum of 5 years experience.

Our lessons are with very minimal roadside stoppages, especially if you have studied any lesson related material you have been provided.

We have a proven track record with 100's of pupils successfully passing their practical driving test with us, some of them you may recognise in our gallery.

We do not cover Bradford wide because increased travel time only increases the cost of lessons, this is usually passed onto the customers. Our instructors' travel time in between lessons are no more than 10 - 15 minutes and this allows us to keep our prices amongst the cheapest.

We do individual 1 hour lessons and package deals which works out little bit cheaper.

Package deal can be paid over instalments free from interest unlike most other driving schools.

We highly recommend that you buy individual 1 hour lesson before committing to a package deal, as you want to make sure you like the tuition vehicle and the style of teaching of the instructor.

After we start you off we will provide you regular weekly lessons and you will always have the same driving instructor.

How long will I have to wait for my first lesson after placing my order?

What will happen if I pass my practical driving test and have not finished taking the package lessons I paid for?

If you passed your driving test without needing all the package lessons, then we will charge you for the lessons you have taken and reimburse you with the remainder. So for example, if your package deal worked out you were paying £19 per lesson and paid for 30 lessons but only needed 23 lessons, then we will charge you £19 for 23 lessons and refund you for the 7 remaining which in this scenario would be 7 x £19.
What will happen If my circumstances changes and I'm unable to continue taking lessons, will I get refunded?

Firstly let us point out that we are among very few driving schools who offer package deals with installment payments, usually you pay all money upfront. You will be charged for all the lessons you have already taken and £40 admin/ accountant fee after this any remaining money will be refunded. You are not going into a contract meaning that you will have to take all the allocated lessons or risk losing all of the money. Without offending any other driving schools we consider this to be immoral and trapping someone, usually consisting of young adults. We can give you this discount as we are aware you will be taking X amount of lessons and therefore we can better plan our business. Our driving instructors will provide high standards of service ensuring that you will finish the course with us. *read terms of condition for up to date rules and policy.*
Can I pay using a credit/debit card?

Yes you can use your credit/ debit card for the initial payment online for free of charge. If you are paying in installments you will pay cash to your driving instructor on the day you take the driving lesson or will bank transfer the installment 24 hours before your driving lesson. If your bank doe's not allow faster paying method then you may have to bank transfer few days in advance. Your driving instructor can take card payments in the car but you will be charged a surcharge of 3%. For a £25 payment you will be charged additional £0.75, totalling £25.75

How much for test day car use?

You will have to book your own practical driving test or your driving instructor can book it on your behalf, test fee you will pay DVSA is currently £62.00 On test day you will have the vehicle for 2 hours which includes warm up lesson followed by the test. The price will include all required, insurance for you driving alone without our instructor, clean roadworthy vehicle that is fit for purpose. £120, this price is for both Heaton and Thornbury centres. Should for any reason we are unable to provide you with a roadworthy vehicle and you loss the £62 booking fee then we will give you £62 so you can book another test. On your test day we will ask you to inspect the car to find any faults such as engine management light or a nail in the car tyre. We will be there for you all of the way and for any reason we fall short then we will cover the cost.
How long have you been trading for?

We have been trading since 2014. We do not have a physical office where you can pop in as that is not needed and this is one of the reasons we manage to keep our prices reasonably low. Essentially, our instructors' offices are their cars however, our business' registered address is 73 Lonsdale Street, BD3 0AL. Can I have automatic car driving lessons?

Sorry, we only provide tuition in manual vehicles at the present moment.
How old do I need to be to start driving?

Most teenagers can learn to drive from their 17th Birthday however, they need to be in possession of a provisional driving licence, which can be applied a few months before they reach their 17th birthday. Press the following link to find out more about how to apply for your provisional driving licence. https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence To learn to drive you will need someone who is 21 years of age or over who has a full driving licence and has at least 3 years of driving experience to sit next to you. The car is in need of being road worthy with valid M.O.T, tax and insurance to cover your learning.
How many driving lessons will I need to take?

The Driver and vehicle standard agency (DVSA) are the organization whom will conduct your practical driving test when you are ready to take the test. A study they carried out in 2013 concluded an individual needs approximately 45 hours of professional training and 22 hours private, for example driving with parents/family members. So on average, a total of approximately 67 hours of driving experience needed to become test standard.
How come driving test waiting time is so long in Bradford/ Leeds?

Practical driving test waiting times are very long and this is not just in Bradford or Leeds, this is the situation all across UK. Due to Covid lock-downs the waiting times has gone up and we work closely with all our customers and manage to provide a test date that is within 3-4 weeks soon as they become test standard .
